Instant Fossils is a photographic project about the landscape and the human traces within it. Through the manipulation of structural data from the images, different objects and constructions found in remote and desolate places in the desert of Baja California Sur, in northern Mexico, are intervened. These constructions become instant fossils when they cease to serve their original purpose, and at the same time they transform into new elements within the landscape and geology of the place.
The series seeks to distance itself from the romantic idea of landscape by moving into new post-natural environments understood as a new reality. From these new landscapes, we can propose a new relationship with our surroundings and rethink the global impact that human activities have on Earth's different ecosystems. Recognising these new environments allows us to rethink other ways of understanding our relationships with processes, materials, temporality, and our perception of landscape and "nature".

Fósiles Instantáneos es un proyecto fotográfico sobre el paisaje y las huellas humanas dentro de él. A través de la manipulación de datos estructurales de las imágenes, se intervienen diferentes objetos y construcciones encontrados en lugares remotos y desolados del desierto de Baja California Sur, en el norte de México. Estas construcciones se convierten en fósiles instantáneos cuando dejan de cumplir su propósito original, y al mismo tiempo se transforman en nuevos elementos dentro del paisaje y la geología del lugar.
La serie busca distanciarse de la idea romántica del paisaje, adentrándose en los nuevos entornos post-naturales entendidos como una nueva realidad. Desde estos nuevos paisajes podemos proponer una nueva relación con nuestro entorno y repensar el impacto global que las actividades humanas están teniendo en los diferentes ecosistemas de la Tierra. Reconocer estos nuevos entornos nos permite repensar otras formas de entender nuestra relación con los procesos, los materiales, la temporalidad y nuestra percepción del paisaje y la "naturaleza".
